April Nemeth photographed and styled Captain Whidbey’s historic waterfront property on Whidbey Island, Washington, in collaboration with Alexandra Ribar. The multi-day shoot covered the entire site, including interiors, exteriors, and surrounding grounds. The styling incorporated handcrafted details and fresh florals sourced from the property and Pike Place Market to reflect the inn’s grounded Pacific Northwest character.
The resulting imagery was used across Captain Whidbey’s digital platforms and in broadcast media coverage. Photography from the project was published in Vogue. April’s “Sunset on the Dock” was later selected for Wine & Travel United States of America (Assouline, 2025), the sole Captain Whidbey photograph included in the coffee table book.
