April Nemeth is an Italian-American designer, creative director, and founder whose practice blends ethics, heritage, and modern systems to build enduring brands and consciously made products. Based in Los Angeles and The Ojai Valley, she leads The Studio of April Nemeth — a creative and production studio — and its in-house brand, Korboose.
April earned a BFA/MA in Swiss Visual Communication Design from Kent’s NASAD-accredited Visual Communication Design School, where she studied 2D and 3D graphic design, typography, illustration and photography. Before founding her studio in 2008, she spent over a decade at one of the largest creative product companies in the U.S., where she began as a designer and quickly moved to a design director role. There, she led the design of national-scale product, packaging, and brand launches — introducing new goods into global mass retail across the paper goods and lifestyle sectors.
Today, her studio works across disciplines — from identity and packaging to textile development, photography, hand-lettering and illustration, and production. With in-house manufacturing capabilities across screen printing, custom textiles, and ceramics, the studio serves as a full-scale partner for conscious product development. Clients range from architects and founders to multi-billion-dollar enterprises. Whether designing from the ground up or stepping in to scale, the studio supports design, manufacturing, wholesale and retail strategy, and new product introduction — from concept through launch. We work with founders and companies of all sizes — especially those rooted in sustainability, values, and social impact.

Korboose, the studio’s in-house brand, serves as both a living case study and design benchmark — illustrating what’s possible when story, design, and sustainable production align. Every product is created using the same systems and values the studio offers to its clients.
